SEASCAPE RETREAT

Seascape Retreat

Initially built in 1976, new owners requested a full remodel and the addition of a second story above the garage. The 1,700 square foot house was demolished down to the framing in order to reconfigure the interior for a 3,000 square foot with 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths.

A vaulted ceiling transformed the kitchen into an beautiful open living space. The master bedroom was opened up to include an open-air en-suite bathroom.

Behind the scenes, there is closed-cell insulation in the roof as well as passive solar heating and cooling. The stair turret creates a stack-effect which uses convection to draw cool, fresh air into the home.
